Five Tips To Saving On Airline Travel
By Jason Ricks
I'm one of the many people who absolutely love to take vacations. When pressure from work or school mounts you need to escape it in a healthy way if only for a few days or weeks. So you spot the perfect place that you want to visit the next question you have to ask is, "How am I going to get there?".
The best way to fly is still by airplane. Travel is fast. Flying is also safer then taking the streets where thousands of accidents happen every day. And if you plan correctly the price can also be affordable for you.
Here are my five tips for flying that will help your budget.
1) Plan your trip ahead of time. If you decide to go last minute rates for most airlines are going to be higher for last minute deals.
2) Find a destination where ticket prices are the lowest. In some cases this could be the opposite of our first suggestion and may require you to leave immediately for your flight.
3) Avoid peak times for certain areas. If the Super Bowl is planned in the area you are traveling to at the same time you know what ticket prices are going to do. Spike! So check the realm of special events.
4) Take advantage of online airline ticket web sites. There are several really good portal sites on the internet that offer airline tickets from all major airlines. Because they deal in bulk they can in many instances offer prices that are lower then what the airline itself is offering.
5) Get a credit card that offers travel rewards. Frequent flyer cards can earn you several plane tickets for free each year just by using them for your regular purchases. This of course depends on your yearly spending habits.
These are five really practical ideas you can use to save on your next trip. Flying is not only a fast way to travel it is also fun. It can also be economical if you use these five tips.
